Joining the club is very easy. just turn up on the day or speak to any of the people in the contact section. Wombwell model car club caters for all scales of racing. Although BRCA insurance is necessary, here at Wombwell we allow newcomers to compete at our races for a maximum of two events, we feel this gives racers a chance to try our excellent circuit.

Membership Fees

If you decide to race model cars in any scale or any club. insurance is a necessity. Most clubs use the British Radio Car Association (BRCA) for this insurance. Here at Wombwell Model Car Club we arrange all this for you.

To qualify as a junior you must be under the age of 16

Race Fees

* must be BRCA member

Gates open at 8.30am. DO NOT park outside the gates if they are not open, please park across the road. There is no covered in pits or benches so bring a table.

The track is closed while 10am.

Under no circumstances may any engines be run before 10am.

Book in when race control is open. You will require proof of BRCA membership, scale of car, frequency, personal transponder number, and your race fee.

Free practice starts at 10am and will be  split into different scales. (10am-10.20 Electrics, 10.20-10.40 1/10th ic. and 10.40-11am largescale

Drivers briefing at the end of practice, ALL drivers to attend. followed by 3 qualifying rounds for the grid positions in the finals.
Race Format:

Points will be awarded to club members from their finishing positions in their finals. 100 pts. for 1st etc. these will count for the club championships at the end of the year which is the best six results from 10 rounds. Competitives must complete the minimum of six rounds to be eligble for the championship trophys at the end of the year. For each class.

Generators if used must be the small suitcase quiet type (No open frame industrial ones or air compressors) and can not be started untill 10am.
